New writing from Martha
Dear Friends,
Here are my NPR reviews of two newly translated books by French authors:
Who Killed My Father by Édouard Louis (translated by Lorin Stein), a searing memoir about growing gay in working class France; and
Now, Now, Louison by Jean Frémon (translated by Cole Swensen), a fascinating take on artist Louise Bourgeois by a gallery owner who gave her early representation.
And in case you missed it--a new short story The House with the Plexiglas Frame in Vol.1 Brooklyn.
Best to all,
Martha
