New short fiction and other stuff
Dear Friends,
I hope your summer is starting off well and that you are able to enjoy time with family and friends in person.
I've had the good fortune to have a few small sections of my forthcoming novel, Three Muses, excerpted in a piece called "Deep Blue," in Vol.1Booklyn, which is a literary journal with wide ranging tastes, in case you haven't had the chance to explore it.
Here are two new reviews:
Clint Smith's timely and important How the Word is Passed in The Washington Post, and
Nana Nkweti's fantastic collection of short stores, Walking on Cowrie Shells for NPR Books
And finally, an author interview in Bloom with Maisy Card, whose novel, These Ghosts Are Family, is a wonderful read about family and love and the meaning of place. [I reviewed Maisy Card's book in The Washington Post last year.]
Be well and very best wishes.
Love,
Martha
